Wildfowl

Day two at the bungy and whilst waiting for the bonfire to slow down have been watching the birdies.

In the last 10 mins have seen a pair of woodpeckers, 3 red kites (very low), numerous blackbirds and a tiny robin. Also an owl – not sure but think its a barn owl.

Birds!!

If anyone wants to buy me a present, then some lightweight twitching binoculars please!

Poor Ruth

Whilst Stuart was having immense amounts of fun in the garden and fresh air, Ruth was stuck at work earning the dollar.  But able to maximise her time efficiently, started in earnest, on the planning application during her lunch hour.

Organised for next Wednesday is a meet with our local Biodiversity team who are coming to check if we have any great crested newt or bats!

Stuart clearing the garden

Stuart got stuck in straight away by treating himself to a new brush cutter and immediately attacked everything in sight.

Once he had got a healthy pile of dead branches, rotten benches, fence panels and anything else that would burn the bonfire began!

All that we were missing was sausages!

First day at the bungy

bungy

We completed on our bungy today and picked up the keys at lunch time.
We are hoping to get planning permission to demolish the bungy and replace it with a new dwelling.
